M.P. for Blackfriavs Division, Glasgow, speaking at the Brig House, said the Taff Vale judgment interfered with the organisation of labor on the industrial side. The Osborne judgment interfered with the organisation on the political side, wliieh was of infinitely greater importance. Trade unionism was not played out. Workers owed all their improvement to trade unionism, not to free-trade.
