Tllii FRIMLEY FACTORY. By Telegraph-—Press Association. Hastings, Friday. ■Mr. Basil Jones, manager of thei Frimley Canning Company, has received' telegrams of sympathy from fruitgrowers in all parts of the Dominion, also telegrams from large commercial orchard-' ists in Duncdiu, Nelson, VVhangarei and Wanganui, offering to reserve a portion of their orchards for the supply of peaches for the canning works. These offers have been accepted. The manager is confident that although not a single peach will eomo out of the company's own orchard, the supply so generously offered will be sullicient to keep the works in full working swing, lie is conlident that he will be able to supply all orders. ATTEMPT TO "RING THE CHANGES." Oamaru, Friday. A bold attempt to "ring the changes'' was made at the North Ota.go races yesterday. A young man handed a postal note for 20s folded so as to show the "20" in at the ticket ollice of the saddling paddock, saying it was for £2(l. and asking for XM) lbs change.
