In the balloon race, Colonel Shaeck. aboard the Helvetia, landed at Yaillainiiriu, Quebec, after covering 11(H) miles. Three other balloons crossed over to Canaua. The Hamburg 111. fell into a lake from a height of 6000 feet. Lieut. Yogt and Herr Asman swam to an island and remained there all night. Asman sustained a broken arm. Two Indians, believing the moon had fallen from the sky, came ill and after some dilliculty they were induced to rescue the two aeronauts. The balloon was saved. Yogi towing it and swimming to the inland.
