By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington Cricket Association decided to challenge Auckland for the Plunket Shield, the match to take place on December 24, 36 and 27. It was decided to play Canterbury at Christchurch on December 31, January 2 and 3; Nelson at Wellington on December 31 and January 2; and Marlborough at Blenheim on December 26 and 27. FIRE BRIGADE CLUB. The annual meeting of the Fire Brigade Cricket Club was held at the station last night. Mr. W. Sadler presided. The balance-sheet showed a small credit-balance. It was decided to enter a Thursday junior team only, and to allow the Civil Service Club the use of the ground on Saturday afternoons. The following officers were elected:— President. Superintendent F. C. Bellringer; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. Calgher, Tuthill, McKean, C. Clarke, J,. Johnstone, J. Roberts, A. Boon, J. Chvrk and G. Tisch; captain, Mr. W. Roeh (reelected) ; committee, the captain, vicecaptain and secretary; secretary, Mr. W. Bullot; delegate to Association, Mr. W. Roch. It was decided to open the season on Thursday next. • otes of thanks to the secretary and to the press concluded the business.
