FIRES.
INQUIRY AT TAUMARUNU*. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. An enquiry was held at Taumarunui to-day before Mr. Laird. Coroner, into the, late fire. After a lot of evidence a verdict was returned that the jury were not sure how the fire originated. The jury added: "We are of opinion that insurance companies should exercise more care in making their valuations and taking their fire risks."
