Driver Mellville has been committed for trial for breach of the regulations in connection with the Richmond railway accident. MOUNT LYELL RETURNS. Melbourne, October 15. Mount Lyell returns from September 8 to October 5, inclusive, show that 87,M3 tons of ore were treated, also 10 tons purchased. The ore converters produced 584 tons of copper, 49,757 ounces of silver, - nd 790 ounces of gold. STRIKERS SENTENCED. Adelaide, October 15. Three strikers have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment for having assaulted three laborers. The work is proceeding under a strong police guard. THE DUTCH FLEET. Hobart, October 15. The officers of the Dutch squadron were welcomed by the Mayor in the Town Hall. A round of entertainments has been provided.
