SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Rev D C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follows:—Stormy weather of a westerlv character has prevailed. The barometer has been very low in the south but has risen in the north since midnight, and in the south since 6 a.m. Ram has fallen in all parts of the country and heavUy on the West Coast The present indications are for gales from west and aoath in all parts of the country. Much colder weather may be expected, with heavy rain in parts and snow on higher levels. The barometer will probably rise everywhere. 6eas will probably be very heavy on the western coast and considerable southward of East Cape.
