BRITISH ELECTIONS.
POLITICAL TRUCE MAY BREAK. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Received October 12.30 a.m. London, October 10. Mr. Haldane's statement that the election may come "as a thief in the night," coupled with Mr. Eli Bank's letter stating that the Liberals propose to break the political truce because the Unionist Whip initiated a series of attacks on Liberal constituencies, is interpreted in some quarters that the veto conference will be final.
