NO-LICENSE.

THE FIGHT IN AUSTRALIA. NEW ZEALAND QUOTED. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Received 110, 10.30 p.m. Sydney, October 10. In the fight against no-license a statement has been circulated that the police inspectors in New Zealand had adversely reported on no-license with a view to rebutting the system. The New South Wales Alliance obtained from Dr. Findlay, Minister of Justice for New 'Zealand, the statement that, with, one exception, all the inspectors' reports were substantially in favor of no-license, from the point of view of

law and order. The Alliance also obtained from the Mayors of Oamaru l , Grey Lynn and Christchurch rebuttals of the statement by Mr. Day, 'Stipendiary Magistrate at Timaru, that more temptation to drink existed in no-license districts, and that liquor was kept in practically every house.
