(Mr. A. W. Ingles, formerly a lieutewarot in the Royal Navy, who served in the Crimea and China, died at Kaikoum last night. He had long been prominent in local affairs in the district.—Pre* wire. The date of his birth was September 6, ISSO. He enjoys good health, and is comfortably placed ns officer in i>harpe of the National Park. Beach did not ibegin to row until he was nearlv 30 vears of age, and he was over 38 when he last beat the late Edward Hanlan, in November, 1888. In all hewon some 33 good races.
