SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follows:—Moderate »to strong southerly and westerly winds bare prevailed, and the weatheT, though cold and changeable, has improved everywhere to-day. The barometer has remained steady in. the north, but has risen and fallen again in the south. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly and westerly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and lor freshening north-westerly winds elsewhere. The barometer will probably rise slowly in the north, but fall in the south for a short time. Cloudy and unsettled weather is probable on the west coast and southernmost districts. Cool and changeable weather elsewhere.
