RIFLE SHOOTING.
TARANAKI RIFLES v. MANGOREI. The Taranaki Rifles sent a team out to Mangorei on Thursday afternoon to try conclusions with theJVlangorei Rifle Club. They day was most unsuitable for good rifle shooting. There was a continually changing wind and light with intermittent cold showers. In spite of these discomforts a pleasant, afternoon was spent, due to the hospitality of the members of the club. The shooting was not of a very high order, which is not to be wondered at under the circumstances. The Rifles won the match by 46 points. The following are the scores:—
