It contains drastic penalties and l provides a penalty of £SOO against any attempt to control trade, with an additional £SOO per day for each day such attempt is continued; Hso a penalty of £SOO per day or a month's imprisonment, or both, against any attempt to control prices. The penalty in case of a corporation is fixed at £IOOO for each day during which the offence continues. The land tax debate has been resumed.
