Navvies on stride at Cologne bombarded the non-strik . s on leaving 'their work and the police with paving cobbles. The police charged the strikers with drawn sabres. Thirteen strikers and on'e policeman were wounded. SYMPATHY WITH JOURNALISTS. Berlin, October 4. A great public meeting under the auspices of- the Democratic Union passed resolutions of sympathy with the English and American journalists who were assaulted by the police.
