SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Bv Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. C. Batesweather summary and forecast: —Westerly winds, strong to a gale have preirailed, and are now changing to southerly about Foveaux strait The barometer has fallen everywhere, and is very low in the extreme south, though it has now commenced to rise there. Bain has fallen in many parts of the countrv, but dry and oppressive northeasterly winds have been experienced m Hawke's Bay and the Canterbury Plains. Present indications are for high westerly and south-easterly winds, cold and stormy weather, probably generally with heavv rain on the West Coast and •enow on the higher levels in the south. There will be heavy sea§ on all the western coast. The barometer will probably rise srton everywhere.
