PAYMENT OF MEMBERS
AN ILLOGICAL VIEW. By Cable.-—J?ress Association.—Copyright. London, October 3. Lord Tennyson writes to the Time* that while for several reasons government is not carried on in Australia without payment of members, he believes the payment of members of the Imperial Parliament would ibe fatal to Imperial unity and involve local str'uggles, bringing about indifference to the broad interests of the Empire.
