SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' ■weather summary and forecast: *— A ,regteriy area of low pressure has extended its influences over the whole country, and northerly and westerly irinda/stamg to a gale, have prevaded with rain generally heavy in the night, mad flooded rivers are reported in Westland. The barometer has iallen everywhere. Present indications are foi westerly winds, strong to a gale in «„tg, and veering to southerly everywhere. The barometer will probably fell slowly for a short time everywhere, but a steady rise will probably follow ifter about sixteen hours. Showery and changeable weather will probably ! be by cold and conditions, with a rise in the barometer.
