LAWN TENNIS
A PROPOSAL DISAPPROVED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association considered a notice of motion of the management committee of the New Zealand Association providing for the engagement of" a permanent secretary at a yearly salary of £SO, andi a bonus of £llO for the New Zealand championship meeting when held at headquarters and of £25 when'held ..elsewhere in the Dominion. It was decided to instruct the Association's delegates to oppose the amount of salary, the opinion being that £3O per annum was sufficient, and also to oppose giving a bonus to the secretary for attending championship meetings.
