THE WEATHER.
FORECAST AND SUMMARY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —Cloudy and unsettled weather prevailed on Saturday, frith rain in many places. Moderate to strong westerly winds prevailed in the north and southerly- winds in the south, but tiie winds backed everywhere on Sunday The barometer fell again in the soutl! on fiundav ni«ht. and has fallen low to-day. Present indications are for fctormy and wet weather in most parts of the country, under the influence of a Westerly storm area. A further foil in tte barometer may be expected every•where and high northerly winds will probafcly vere 4>v west and a southerly gale is likely to succeed, in the southern districts first, after aibout 36 hours.
