SAWMILL HAND'S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. William August Manson, who had his skull fractured andf a leg ibroken in an accident at Price's mill, Akatarawa,,on Wednesday, died in the Wellington Hospital last night. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest today. , YOUNG MAN DROWNED. Christchurch, Saturday. A young man named G. Clark, employed on the Midland Railway, was drowned in tihe Waimakarira river on Thursday. He had been to Oass to collect his wages, and! wihen fording the river on returning was seized with camp and washed down stream, UGLY TRAP ACCIDENT. Christchurch, Saturday. Messrs Dell (mailman), Paterson (assistant engineer), Sutcliffe and Stratford (paymaster and clerk respectively) on the works, were involved in an ugly trap accident at Broken River on Thursday evening. Their horse shied while going through a gate, and overturned the buggtv. All the occupants were badly i bruised. DEATH FROM HEART DISEASE. Christchurch, Last Night. An inquest was held this afternoon regarding •tihe' death of Mrs. Eathlinda Eyton, aged about 65, who died suddenly last Evidence showed that Mrs. Eyton fell hack suddenly while sitting in a chair. A doctor was summoned but found life extinct. Mrs. Eyton arrived from Auckland aibout last July, and her husband is supposed to be living in Auckland at present. A verdict was returned of death from heart disease. FATAL COLLUSION. Ashiburton, Last Night. Frank Trail, employed at the Fairfield Freezing Works, was fatally injured this afternoon. Trail was returning to his home in Ashburton on a bicycle when he met a vehicle going in the opposite direction. A collision took place, the shaft of tihe vehicle penetrating Trail's chest, and he died 1 within a quarter of an hour. Trail was about 26 years of a»e and wa» recently married. FATALLY KICKED. Auckland, Last Night. News has been received here that William Asbby, ajyed 50, was killed on Saturday at Wailiii through being kicked by a horse. SUDDEN DEATH. Dunedin, Last Night. A married man named William Flint, aged 36, a resident of Invercargill, <lifd somewhat suddenly yesterday. He had been suffering from ptomaine poison'ng as the. result of eating pies and c.inie to Dunedin last Tuesday; He went to a football match yesterday and while conversing with a friend was taken ill. The friend was taking him home, and as he was getting much worse, he was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly afterwards. Death was due to a clot of blood on the brain. Deceased leaves a widow and two children.
