Barker, president of the Baptist Union, speaking on-No-license, said that if licenses were withdrawn from bouses which were necessary to accommodate the travelling public, the Alliance "was out to buy those houses." If tile people now managing them as brewers' slaves are willing to manage under the AHiance, tbey can do so. An enormous No-license demonstration took place yesterday. Eight thousand children marched through the streets to the domain with banners and bands.
