Following is the Government Meteoromstfs weather summniy and forecast: Barometer fell rapidly in the far south in tiie early hours of this morning. Jfortberiy winds, strong to gale, have prevailed southward of New Plymouth and CWtlepoint. The barometer is still very high in the north, but has fallen flKgfatly Unlay. The weather has been fair, but with increasing cloudiness in B—t parts ,and especially in the south. Present indications are for rain shortly fa most parts of the country, and especially on the West Coast southward of Esutia. Weserly winds, strong to gale, H probably veering southerly in southern districts, may be expected after sixteen tours. The barometer will probably i f» B lower everywhere, but a sharp rise is ' likely to follow shortly in the south.
