At the Haymarket on Saturday weaner pigs m.'ulle 7s 6d to 9s, stores 14s to 17 s, porkers 21s to 2Cs, sows 20s to 255. Horse made £5 life. On Monday I held my spring horse fair at Tattersall's, New Plymouth. There was a fair entry, and anything showing quality was well competed for, ordinary sorts selling at usual rates. Yearling half-draughts made £6 12s 6d to £7, unbroken 2-year balf-draugihts £8 15s to £lil 10s, 3-year do. £ls 10s to £24 15s, unbroken light horses (2 years) £5 las to £8 Ips, 3-year-olds £9 to £ls, broken half-draughts (3 to 4 year-old) £ls to £2B 10s, 5 and 6-year-old £l2 10s to £25, aged do. £8 10s to £ 18, light harness horses £B. 10s to £l4. , At Rahotu on Tuesday there was a good yarding. On the same .day at Stratford there was a full yarding of springing heifers. Ferguson, whien there was a large attendance of buyers. The cows, being a young lot, thougih a fair number on the backward side, bidding was spirited throughout, and excellent prices were realised. Early calvers made £8 10s to £ls 10s, later £6 to £7 15s, very late and empty £2 7s 6d to £5 ss, yearling heifers £3 17s. The wihole herd of 95 cows (including empties) averaged £7 IBs 6d per head. Gig sold for £lB 10s, plough £9, Noxon disc £7 10s, waggon •£3o, fat ewes 17s fid, grey gelding (five years) £29, 'black gelding £lB 10s, roan gelding (eigfht years) £lB, bay mare (four years) £24, Jersey bulls £6 16s to £B, sow and litter £4 10s to £4 15s. At Waiwakailho on Thursday there was a fair yarding, with a good attendance of buyers. Yearling steers made £2 0s 6d to £2 13s, 18-month'S do. £3 19s, yearling heifers £2 to £2 4s 6d, empty heifers £3 4s (kl to £3 17s 6d, springing heifers £4 14s to £6 2s, store cows £2 7s 6d to £3 15s, springing cows £5 to £7 12s 6d, forward cows £4 to £4 ss, fat cows £5 5s to £6 14s, bulls £1 18s Gd to £8 2s 6d, ewes and lamlbs 275, f.m. ewes 9s 9d, forward wethera 20s. MATTHEWS & BENNETT'S REPORT. 3latt/hews and Bennett report a good yarding of cattle at their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. There Was a good attendance, and bidding was keen up to the following prices:—Springing heifers £4.5s to £4 12s 6d, good £6 15s to £8 ss, heifers calved £2 I4s to £4, springing cows £4 to £5 ss, young and forward do. £6 10s to 1 . £9, empty heifers £3 Is to £3 18s, forward cows £3 14s 6d to £3 18s, store do. £2 9s to £3 12s, bulls £3 to £3 17s 6d, 2-year steers £3 Ms to . £4 Is, yearling steers £2 7s to £2 'l7s, yearling heifers £2 Is to £2 17s. At Mr. Kennedy's clearing sale on Monday last the caws sold wry well, the best ones bringing £7 10s to £lio liOs, and the backward ones £3 12s 6d to £0 10s. The horses also made good prices, bis milk-cart horse (aged) bringing £l6 15s, aged brood mare £8 ss, yearling thoroughbred filly £7, and 2-yearold colt £ll. The implements and sundries also ibrougiht satisfactory prices. At the mart on Saturday weaner pigs made 8s 6d to lis, stores 13s 6d to las, 1 porkers '2ss to 30s. -

STOCK SALES. JOHNSONVILLE. Abraiham and Williams, Ltd., report:— We had an. extra heavy yarding of prime bullocks and sheep, which sold at late rates. Best bullocks £lO 2s 6d to £lO 10s, medium bullocks £9 12s 6d to £9 15s, lighter £9 to £9 7s 6d, light £B, prime heavy ewes 24s to 25s 7d, prime ewes 21s 6d to 32s 3d, plain ewes 18s 4d to 19s 3d, good wethers 24s 4d, plain wethers 225, spring lamlw 12s 8d to 13s. ADDINGTON. The entry of store sheep at Addington was aibout three times as large as last week, and was chiefly made up of hoggets. There was a good demand for all classes, prices teing a shade firmer, especially for hoggets. Good 'hoggets made 13s Id to Ms, medium 9s lid to lis 6d, small 7s lid to 9s, ewe hoggets los '6d to 17s od, wethers 14s to 10s 6d, fullmou bh ewes with lambs lis 6d, others 6s 3d to 6s Bd. There were 154 fat lambs penned, a larger entry than last week, and prices showed a, further decline, best sorts making 14s 3d to 16s 6d, and smaller lis to 14s. The yarding of fat sheep was small, and competition was very keen, a West Coast buyer operating against the local butchers. There was an irregular advance of Is to 2s per head. The range of prices was: Prime wethers 21s to 26s lid, others 10s Gd to 20s, Jioggets 14s to 18s Bd, prime ewes L9s 7d to 23s lid, others 14s 6d to 18s 6d, merino wethers 16s Od to 20s 6d.

There was a total of 190 head of fat cattle penned .and with the exception of one really good line, the quality was mostly medium. There was a good demand, and the previous week's prices were fully maintained, and in some cases there was an improvement. Steers made £7 15s to £lO 12s 6d, extra to £l6, heifers £5 to £lO ss, cows £5 to £ll 10s. Veal calves made 4s 6d to 445, according to size and .quality,— *- A medium entry of store cattle met with a weak demand for all classes. Choppers sold up to 80s, heavy baconers 50s to 60s, lighter 42s to 48s, large stores17s 6d to 22s 6d, medium 14s 0d to 17s, weaners Cs to 10s.

BURNiSIDE.

At the Burnside stock market 147 fat I cattle were yarded, consisting of fair ' quality.
