A LONDON BURGLARY.
THREE ACCUSED DISCHARGED. By Cable.—'Press Association.—Copyright. 1 London, September 27. Duncan, Stokes and Davis, who were charged with a daring attempt at burglary on a large scale at Birmingham, have been discharged. Frederick Duncan, rubber merchant, Frederick Stokes, flag and bannermaker, and James Davis, cab-driver, were arrested in London for burglary at the premises of Wright and ' Hodgikins, Birmingham. By means of an oxy-hydrogen blowpipe they pierced halfway through a safe containing £40,000 worth, of jewellerj', but were disturbed and fled. They secured scarcely arfything, and left behind them housebreaking implements which cost £2OO.
