A NEW VERSION. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Paris, September 26. Two tradesmen were invited to a Marseilles tootel, where tihey purchased £720 worth of jewellery. Two pretended detectives entered and declared that the goods had been stolen, and the vendors decamped with tthe money. The bogus detectives imprisoned the tradesmen, then returned to the hotel, collecti ed the jewellery, and escaped.
