ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A BATHING ACCIDENT. WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. A young man named Albert Williams, aged 21, an engineer, in company with two companions, were swimming from a dingey at Karaka Bay yesterday. Williams was attempting to climb into the boat when it overturned and must have struck him on the head. He was carried ashore unconscious and restorative measures resorted to. Williams revived after a while, but, suddenly collapsed and expired, heart failure caused by shock being the cause of death. DROWNING CASE. b " REEFTON, Sept. 26. A man named William Low, while under the influence of liquor, fell into the Inangahua River on Saturday night. He was seen to fall, and was Caught tower down. Though alive when rescued, he collapsed and died. DEAD BODY FOUND. WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. The dead body of an elderly woman was found on the rocks at Lyall Bay this morning. It is believed to be, that of a widow reported missing from Wellington for some days.
