Professors Herschell and Parker failed in an attempt to ascend Mount McKinley recently. They assert that the summit has never been reached, though Dr. Cook, the explorer, and the Floyd party claim to have succeeded.
Mount McKMey is 20,464 feet high—the loftiest mountain in North America and one,of the most striking physical features of Alaska.
