KOTUKU DELAYED

TAIL SHAFT BROKEN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Union Steam Ship Company's Kotuiui broke her tail-shaft while bound from Onehunga to Wellington on Tuesday night. The vessel signalled to Stephens' Island Lighthouse to telegraph to Wellington for the tug Terawhiti, which went out and brought the vessel into port at 6 o'clock this evening. A patent coupling -was adjusted by the engineers, enabling the vessel to make two or three knots an hour.
