BUSINESS NOTICES.

The attention of the public is directed 1 to the sale of town and country properties which Mr. Newton King is holding: at his mart, Devon Street, to-day. The town property, comprises about 10 acres of land well planted with shelter-trees,, situated in "the Pitzroy district, within two minutes of the *bus terminus, with a fine dwelling-house of sixteen roontß,. two-roomed cottage, and outbuildings. This would make a most desirable gentleman's residence, or could be used as a private hospital, in which capacity it )» at present occupied. There will also be offered a fine dairy farm of about 201 acres in the Okato district. This beachi land, of which the farm is comprised, k too well-known to Taranakl farmers to need special mention, but dairymen, would do well to attend this sale, as theprice of land in this district is steadily' advancing, and in a few years it wiH be almost impossible to secure bead* land at any price. The grand display of spring goods at Aimbury's is the talk of the town. Theassortment and the values are such that one only needs to look round the establishment to be convinced that anything required in wearing apparel or household requirements can be ( purchased there at lowest cash prices. Selling is in full swing in the Melbourne's Manchester department just now and—it well deserves to 'be, for the exhibit is altogether exceptional in respect to bath quality and price. Here are a few items of special merit indicative of scores of others: —3'2in calico 3s lid. dozen; biin pink flannelette 3s lid dozen; check zephyrs 3a fid dozen; indigo printsfid yard; striped galateae 6d yard. The Park Tennis Club will hold ft working bee this afternoon at 2.30. Lady members will furnish afternoon tea.
