DOMINION DAY. Auckland, Thursday. As there seems general objection against the multiplication of holidays, Dominion Day (Monday next) has not been declared a public holiday by the Mayor of Auckland. The Government offices will be closed, but there will be no general observance beyond a display of bunting, which the Mavor is requesting citizens to make. There will be a big parade of secondary schools cadets in the Domain in the afternoon.
