KILLED BY A TAXI-CAB. Christchurch, Last Night. Malcolm Anderson, Brown, a boy 0 years of age, whilst playing in GlouW ter blreet to-night, was run over by a taxi-cab. The wheel passed over hu head, and he died shortly alter admission to the hospital.
INJURED BY BLASTING POWDER. Our Pohokura correspondent writes:— A serious accident <happened here on Tuesday to Mr. O. g. Jackson. He mm removing 20 lb: of,blasting powder from Ins dwelling to an outhouse when a spark from life .cigarette fell into the cask, which exploded and seriously burned Mr. Jackson. His arms, hands and face suffered most, whilst his body mas also burnt. His r ,thes were almost all destroyed.
