AUCKLAND RESOLUTIONS. By Telegraph.—Pres? Association. Auckland, Last Night. ■ At a special meeting of the Aucklano. Chamber of Commerce held this afternoon to consider the mail service, the following resolutions were carried:— Tliat this Chamber regrets that negotiations between the Government of the Dominion and the Spreckles Company for providing a mail service between the United States and New Zealand have not been proceeded with, when it is apparent that the negotiations, if completed, would have provided a fast and adequate service at a relatively lower cost than that provided under the agreement entered into with the Union Steamship Company; that this Chamber would earnestly press upon all members of Parliament the advisability of opposing the ratification of the San_ Francisco service as .proposed by the Union Steamship Company. '
