SUICIDE IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. The dead "body of A. H. Krause, exinsurance canvasser, was found on a bed in the Shamrock Hotel, Molesjvorth Street, tMs mornin'g, with a double-bar-relled revolver lying alongside the body. One barrel of the revolver was loaded. The indications are that deceased, who had been peculiar lor some time, shot himself. He had not been himself since itae death of his wife. A SETTLER DROWNED. Napier, Last Night. Yesterday the body of A. Scbaare, a settler on the Tangoio estate, was found on tine Ibeach near that place. He was last seen alive by a neighboring settler's wife on the 10th inst., but his absence from the locality caused no uneasiness, as it was thought he had gone to visit his wife, who resides at Makotuku. On the 20th, however, as tfl had not rer turned, a search party was formed, and the body was found as stated. Apparently he had been dead for some days. All the circumstances point to accidental death by drowning, as his clothes, with a towel on top, were found on the beach. An inquest will be held tomorrow.
