Received September 21, 12.30 a.m. 1 Calcutta, September 20. / The Bengal Provincial Conference, which is a branch of the National Congress movement, demanded a system of Government such as prevails in Australasia, Canada and South Africa. It condemned the recent outrages' in India. The Conference concluded with the president reciting the hymn, "Lead, Kindly Light."
