The Land Bill is already doomed, says a Wellington writer. It is stated pretty freely in the lobbies that the Government leaseholders will stonewall the Bill while it is before tlie Lunds Committee to such an extent that it_ will be too late to give it serious consideration this session. The dangerous principle of compulsory leasehold acquisition is now generally recognised and even Government supportadmit that the Cabinet has made a serious blunder in introducing such a measure. IT DAZZLES THE WORLD. No discovery in medicine has ever created one quarter of the interest that has been caused by Dr. Sheldon's New Discovery for Coughs and Colds.
