COLONIAL TROOPS IN ENGLAND
WELCOMED IN LONDON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. London, September 16. Lord Roberts and Mr. Haldane inspected the Canadians at Chelsea. T'.,-y afterwards marched to the Guild!; il and received a hearty welcome in passing through the streets. The Lord Mayor entertained them at luncheon. "A MAGNIFICENT OBJECT LESSON." Received September 19, 12.20 a.m. London, September I>B. Sir Win. Hall-Jones declared that the Canadian troops now visiting England afforded' a magnificent object lesson. He hope the colonial troops coming, to England for the Coronation would be able to remain for the subsequent manoeuvres. Sir George Reid was in complete agree* ment with, these views, but said the distance from Australia was insurmountable, whilst the expense was almost prohibitive. It was possible the Australian Coronation troops might remain for the manoeuvre*. [,;
