MOUNT LYELL RETURNS. P,y Cable. —Press Association.—'Copyright Melbourne, September 16. Mount Lyell returns from August 11 to .September 7 inclusive state that 18,771: tons of ore were treated, also 5 tons purchased. The ore converters produced 486 tons of blister copper, containing 386 tons of copper, 44,462 ounces of silver, and 805 ounces of gold. The lower outputs are due to temporarily lower assays from the principal stopes, together with increased difficulties of extraction owing to the severity of the weather.
