SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special" Meeting of the Taranaki County Council, held at 2 p.m. on Monday, the sth day of September, 1910, the Undermentioned resolution was duly passed, and which "will beeubmitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the ..Council- to be held at, 2 p.m. on MONDAY, the 3rd day of October,. 1910, an<i intended to operate as a Special Order. "In pursuance and exercise of the ;• powers vested in it in that behalf by the "Local Bodies' Loans Act, li(K>B,' the Taranaki pounty , Council hereby resolves as fol- . lows:—
; "That for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £IOO, being ten per cent, on the original Ipan of £IOOO authorised to be raised iby the Elliot Road Board (the Road District now being merged into the. Taranaki County) under the 'Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1-908/ for the purpose of completing! the forming, k'erbing and metalling of the footpath on the Northern side of Elliot Road to the western boundary of Sole*, ville, and) completing the grading, formation and. metalling of v the Elliot Road through to its junction with the Frankley Road a,t the Frankley Road School, the said Taranaki County hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of l/40th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Elliot Road District, comprising the whole of the area of the late Elliot Road District; and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 16th day of May in each and every year during ,the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years &n<! a half, or, until the loan fe lully paM off. ■ • i JOSEPH BROWN, „ , County Chairman, New Plymouth, Sept. 9, 1910.
