FEEDING BRITISH SOLDIERS.

The War Office is inviting tenders by December 7, for 12-ounce tins and 62,500 24-ounce tins of preserved meats for delivery at Woolwich in March, also tenders in January for a year's supply of forage and frozen meat in South Africa, beginning in April. FORMS OF TENDER. Wellington, Yesterday. The Government has received, through the High Commissioner, forms of tender for the supply of preserved meat to the English War Department Not enough forms have been received for distribution, but they can be inspected at the office of the Department of Commerce. The quantities called t'oi are 412,500 12-ounce tins, in cases of 40 and 60, and 68,750 24-ounce tins, in cases of 20 and 30. Tenders must be in by November 1, and delivery given in January or February next.
