Bates' summary and forecast:—The barometer has risen high everywhere, and moderate to strong southerly and westerly winds lave prevailed, with fine weather everywhere. Present indications are for fair weather generally. The barometer will probably fall everywhere shortly, and •tow pressure is due to pass in the south "on Monday. The winds will probably 'back- fey the west to, northerly and , fceshen gradually southward of New ' Jlymouth and f Napier. Farther north, the winds will probably veer to increasing easterlies after 18 hours.
