The attendance was up to last year's average, and the course slightly holding. XiurU'en bookmakers at £ls 10s were present. Pukeliou Hack Hurdles—The Native 1, Mahuta 2, Hawick 3. Scratched: Slecombe, St. Amelia, White Lie, Canadian, Miharo, Castout, Pakau, Chase. Won by three lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 52 l-ssec.

Gorton. Memorial. —St. Felix 1, Roosevelt 2, Strathmoira 3. Scratched: Lady Medallist, Bourrasque, Repeat. There was a length between the placed horses. Time, lmin 59 4-ssec.
