"PENNY-WISE-POUND FOOLISH." IJ_\ Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night The Education Board, to-day discussed its financies. The secretary stated that he had only £2O to go with through the reduction of the. building grant, while a number of urigent demands for repairs await attention. Members strongly criticised the Department's "penny-wise-pound-foolish, policy. The usual grant of £2600, due in March last, was not to hand. One-third of it was pledged already against the overdraft.
