ASIATIC AMBITIONS.
IF THE KAISER HAD KNOWN. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received September 13, 12.55 a.m. London, September 12. The Times, commenting on the ( own Prince's tour, says that had the l.iiser known the East first-hand', he would probably have avoided his occasional misconception of Asiatic ambitions, disclosed in the earlier years of his reign. There was not the slightest reason to suppose the present ideals of an awakening East include any form of militant aggression outside the Asiatic Continent. The more general diffusion of prosperity among the people of Asia would ultimately be beneficial to Europe, because it would imply expansion of international commerce. The Times suggests that Britain should share with India the expense of entertaining the Crown Prince.
