CHINAMAN RUNS AMOK.
ONE DEATH; AND SEVEN COTTAGES DESTROYED. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Port Darwin, September 12. A Chinese ran amok at Fountain Head on Thursday, and is still at large. He started, by firing some thatched houses, including his own residence. Miners rushed in to save their property, but the Chinese attacked them with a meat cleaver. One Chinese was killed and a blac'kfellow is in a critical condition. Three Chinese have been admitted to the hospital. Eight thatched cottagesi were destroyed.
