BRITAIN AND AUSTRIA.
UNIQUE IMPERIAL FAVOR. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received September 12, 10.20 p.m. Vienna, September 12. The Emperor Josef audienced Lord Rosebery, who is announcing the succession of King George. He afterwards visited Lord Rosebery in his apartments at the Hofberg. This is quite an unprecedented mark of Imperial favor. The Reichspost remarks that the selection of Lord Rosebery as Britain's accredited ambassador to Vienna alone signifies the re-establishment of the traditional friendship between Britain and Austria-Hungary.
