! SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegrauh—l'ress Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —A westerly area of low pressure caused a change in the weather on Sunday, which has extended its influence further northward. To-day, northerly and westerly gales have been experienced southward of New Plymouth And Napier with heavy rain at times. Present indications are for high westerly winds veering to southerly shortly. Rain is probable generally and rivers high on the West Coast. The barometer will probably fall for a short time in the north, but a definite rise may be expected in the south by to-morrow evening.
