KILLED IN THE BUSH. By Telegraph.—Press Association". Wanganui, Friday. A young man named A. Stevens, whose relations, it is believed, reside in the Wairarapa, was killed this morning inland of Waverley by a tree falling on him while bush-felling. His mates carried the body ten miles through a bush track to the main road. SUDDEN DEATH. Carterton, Friday. Thomas Bean, aged 72, died suddenly while sitting in a chair this morning. He had been medically attended for heart disease. There will be no inquest. CHILD BURNED FATALLY. Westport, Friday. A child named George, aged four years, died as the result of burns sustained through his clothes catching fire at a fireplace in his parents' residence. DEATH FROM INFLUENZA. Carterton, Friday. Pringle, a railway ganger, died today, after two days' illness, from influenza. He leaves a widow and three children.
