ROOSEVELT REFUSES TO SIT WITH A "GRAFTER." By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received September 9, 8.40 p.m. New York, September 9. A political sensation was caused when Mr. Roosevelt refused to sit at a banquet with Senator Lorimer, who was involved in the "graft" allegations. At Mr. Roosevelt's instance, a telegram was sent cancelling Senator Lorimer's invitation. Mr. Roosevelt admits there is a possibility of his return to public life. He warns corrupt corporations and politicians not to Support him. The Conservation Congress at St. Paul adopted Mr. Roosevelt's and rejected President Taft's policy.
