KING EDWARD MEMORIAL
A BIG SCHEME. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Received September 9, 8.40 p.m. London, September 9. The Earl of Plymouth suggests that Crystal Palace be preserved as a memorial to King Edward as a huge Imperial Club, by means of 750,000 life members each subscribing a guinea. He proposes that the Palace be made the centre for Imperial sports, technical education, British and Colonial art and industrial exhibitions, each oversea dominion to have a permanent pavilion, the profits to go to the King Edward's Hospital fund
