NORTHERN UNION GAME. '" In view of the match between., the Auckland and Wanganui teams on the 22-nd inst., the selectors of the Wanganui team have chosen the following 16 players, from whom the final selection of thirteen men will be made: —R. King, E. Gill, T. Irwin, J. Hogan, W. Lambert, W. Prideaux, B. Martis. D. Dowe, J. Braid A. Seeling, R. Mitchell, 11. Quartermain, T. Mclntyre. S. Smith. H. Gibson. T. Phillips, E. Bucklan.l. The teamis considered a very strong one. and includes no less than eight men who have played for the reps, this year, besides other well-known players. Buckland toured Australia with the last New Zealand Northern Union team. The Northern Union players have secured Cook s Gardens, the most central ground in Wanganui. for the match, and the game should get a good start, even if it peters' out at the finish.
